This policy explains how YVEI receives online and bank-transfer donations, how donation records are handled, and how donors may raise payment or refund concerns.

1. Ways to donate

Donors may support YVEI through the payment options shown on the donation page, including direct bank transfer and online payment through Paystack. Donations are shown in Nigerian Naira unless the payment interface expressly states otherwise.

2. Payment processing

Online donations may be processed by Paystack. YVEI sends the donation amount and necessary donor details to begin checkout. Payment-card details are handled by Paystack and are not stored by YVEI’s website. A donation is treated as completed only after the payment is successfully verified.

3. One-time and recurring support

The donation page may offer one-time or recurring support. The checkout information presented before payment describes the selected frequency. Donors should review the amount and frequency before authorizing payment.

4. Donation records and acknowledgements

YVEI maintains transaction references, amounts, status and donor contact details needed to reconcile and acknowledge donations. Bank-transfer donors should use an identifiable reference and follow the receipt instructions shown on the donation page.

5. Refund requests

Donations are voluntary and are generally treated as final once successfully processed. If a donation was made in error, duplicated or charged for an incorrect amount, contact YVEI promptly with the payment reference and relevant details. Each request will be reviewed on its facts, including whether funds have already been committed or transferred. A request does not guarantee a refund.

6. Failed, pending or abandoned payments

A failed or abandoned checkout is not recorded as a successful donation. A pending payment may require confirmation from the payment provider before YVEI can treat it as complete. If an account was debited but the website does not confirm success, the donor should contact YVEI and the payment provider with the transaction reference.

7. Disputes and chargebacks

Donors are encouraged to contact YVEI first so that payment concerns can be investigated. YVEI may provide transaction records to the payment provider or financial institution when responding to a legitimate dispute.

8. Privacy

Donation information is handled in accordance with YVEI’s Privacy Policy. YVEI does not publish donor identities without appropriate permission.
